Drew's first 4th!

We spent 4th of july with my family this year. We always go to warner center for fireworks because it's fun to hangout at the park and the firework show is awesome. We went over to the park around 6 because it was around a 100 degrees in the valley that day and we wanted to wait for it to cool down a little. We had such a fun time hanging out with family and eating. Drew loved it..he looked around the whole time! I was a little worried that the fireworks would scare him but he actually watched almost the whole firework show. It was really long and at the end he just looked up at Jared. I'm such a sap I totally teared up watching him watch the fireworks. Seeing his little eyes looking at the fireworks for the first time was so cute and it made me think how fun it will be at every holiday to get to watch him experience it for the first time! I can't wait! :)

We have a tradition to paint each others toe nails on the 4th. It started when we were dating and we've been doing it ever since. I think this is year 6!

2 months old!

At Drew's 8 week appointment he weighed 13 pounds 2 ounces and was still 23 and a quarter inches long. So he stayed the same length from his 6 week appointment but just added on cubb! lol Also his head is in the 10th percentile. Everyone always asks us how long he is because Jared and I are so tall and they are disappointed to hear he's only average for his length. I'm sure he'll be tall one day but he might just be like me and be average growing up and then have a big growth spurt in his teens. It's just nice to know he's growing and the doctor said he's doing great. He's now sleeping up to 5 hour stretches at night and spending more and more time awake during the day. He's looking at me so much and smiling! It's so sweet and fun. He's looking at me and making lot's of sounds and coos too. He also is doing mini push ups and holding his head up for longer periods of time. Drew can support his weight when he straitens his legs for much longer now. He's making spit bubbles too. Drew is such a good baby and is hardly ever fussy. He only fusses when he's hungry or is trying to poop in the morning. It's so funny when he wakes up because he'll spend like 30 min working out his morning poop. He kicks his feet and moves his arms for a while and smiles and fusses until he poops! It's an interesting way to start the day! I love the top picture because it looks like he's saying hurray for 2 months! lol
