3 months old!

Wow time is really flying! Drew is growing so fast. I can't believe all he can do.

He is 15.5 pounds and 25 inches long!

Bats at objects and is starting to grab things
Blows spit bubbles
Laughs/smiles a lot in response to people smiling at him
Recognizes mom and dad's voices and faces
Coos, gurgles, squeels in response to talking
Can roll half way over
Sits for short periods of time in the bumbo
Loves bath time
Supports weight and head while standing when I hold him
Sleeps 5-7 1/2 hours through the night
Starting to drool
Brings hands together and is sucking on fingers
Turns toward sounds and voices (but not consistently)
Visually tracks moving objects and people
Lefts head while laying on his tummy (mini push-ups)
Starting going to bed earlier (7:30ish)
Looks at books and visually tracks what I point to!

Drew loves the Bath!

Ever since the first time we put Drew in the bath he has really loved it. It seems like his favorite time of the day. He smiles a lot and kicks and splashes. He has never fussed at all in the bath. Lately he has been kicking so much that he gets me all wet! He makes this intense face and then splashes huge! He scares himself sometimes by splashing himself in the face! lol He is about 11 weeks old in these pictures.

Beach Day!

We went to the beach with my friend Sara and her baby Ryan. We had an awesome time. She has a great beach tent and after having so much fun that day I had to get my own. It's so nice being at the beach and not having to worry about the baby getting sun burnt. Both of out babies slept in the tent and we were able to put chairs in and nurse in there too! It was perfect!

Drew's first time touching the pacific!

I put Drew's toes into the water for the first time. He seemed to like it. He always loves being outside. He usually falls asleep at the beach and is very relaxed.

Drew's blessing

Drew was blessed the day before he was 9 weeks old. His grandma Banks bought him a beautiful white outfit to wear. I was so nervous that he would spit up or poop on it! He usually does his business when he wakes up in the morning so that morning we got up 2 hours before church to give him plenty of time. It worked and we got through the day with him in white. Jared gave him a beautiful blessing. He said such wonderful things in the blessing it made me cry. I'm a total sap lately and after his blessing a boy in our ward gave a talk about his up coming mission. I couldn't stop crying thinking about Drew growing up and serving a mission one day. After church we took Drew to Jared's parents house where we had an awesome taco lunch with family. I was so glad that my family was able to come too. It was a very special day for us!

Drew's first 4th!

We spent 4th of july with my family this year. We always go to warner center for fireworks because it's fun to hangout at the park and the firework show is awesome. We went over to the park around 6 because it was around a 100 degrees in the valley that day and we wanted to wait for it to cool down a little. We had such a fun time hanging out with family and eating. Drew loved it..he looked around the whole time! I was a little worried that the fireworks would scare him but he actually watched almost the whole firework show. It was really long and at the end he just looked up at Jared. I'm such a sap I totally teared up watching him watch the fireworks. Seeing his little eyes looking at the fireworks for the first time was so cute and it made me think how fun it will be at every holiday to get to watch him experience it for the first time! I can't wait! :)

We have a tradition to paint each others toe nails on the 4th. It started when we were dating and we've been doing it ever since. I think this is year 6!

2 months old!

At Drew's 8 week appointment he weighed 13 pounds 2 ounces and was still 23 and a quarter inches long. So he stayed the same length from his 6 week appointment but just added on cubb! lol Also his head is in the 10th percentile. Everyone always asks us how long he is because Jared and I are so tall and they are disappointed to hear he's only average for his length. I'm sure he'll be tall one day but he might just be like me and be average growing up and then have a big growth spurt in his teens. It's just nice to know he's growing and the doctor said he's doing great. He's now sleeping up to 5 hour stretches at night and spending more and more time awake during the day. He's looking at me so much and smiling! It's so sweet and fun. He's looking at me and making lot's of sounds and coos too. He also is doing mini push ups and holding his head up for longer periods of time. Drew can support his weight when he straitens his legs for much longer now. He's making spit bubbles too. Drew is such a good baby and is hardly ever fussy. He only fusses when he's hungry or is trying to poop in the morning. It's so funny when he wakes up because he'll spend like 30 min working out his morning poop. He kicks his feet and moves his arms for a while and smiles and fusses until he poops! It's an interesting way to start the day! I love the top picture because it looks like he's saying hurray for 2 months! lol
