Awesome beach days in February!

I'm kinda of a nerd and I'm obsessed with checking the weather forecasts. This week there were two days that the weather said high of 76 with abundant sunshine. When the beach weather is that good in February I can't resist going! This was one of the most relaxing days I've had with the baby at the beach. It was so fun because he seemed to really like being there and crawling around in the sand. He laid in the sand and ran his fingers through it! He's a total beach bum already.
He also loved the water! I love this pic because he was making his crazy face at the waves. He wasn't scared at all and kept trying to go into the water and sit in it!

Drew was very relaxed buried in the sand too! He's such a good sport!
My friend Sara and I went to the co op in Santa Monica to go shopping for my Himalayan salt and herbal tea in bulk. We went the beach after!

9 months old!

This little guy is really showing more personality these days. He's been wild and non stop all day everyday. From the minute he wakes up he starts breathing heavy and snorting at himself in the mirror (making his crazy boy face at himself)! I should have foreseen the danger in doing a monthly photo in a rocking chair but I'm a first time mom so that's my excuse! I'm just hoping to get through 3 more photos with out him falling off! I can't believe there are only three more! He's crawling everywhere and fast. He's pulling himself up on everything including the walls and mirrors and cruising around the coffee table and couches. He's holding on with one hand or even just leaning on furniture while holding his toys.

It's so fun because he's more interactive too. He's clapping and waving at me and people at church! He repeated his first word "up" at about 8 1/2 months old when he wanted me to pull him up to standing! I was so excited! Drew has said it a few other times but most of the time he just says "p p p" when he wants up! He is babbling and he signs "more" for more food when I prompt him. His favorite game is peekaboo chase...I crawl away and hide around the corner and he chases me and then I jump out and scare him. He loves it! One that I don't love that he has been doing lately is he hate's getting his diaper changed and squirms and fusses and make it very difficult to change him! He also went through a phase where he was a little night owl and just wanted to play... luckily that seems to be over.

I took him to the beach last week and it was so fun to see how much he likes to crawl in the sand and he was charging at the water and trying to sit in it! He's a little dare devil sometimes. He totally makes me laugh and I love him so much. I can't wait to see what this month brings.
