Zoo day

These pics were taken on Sara's awesome new camera! I'm so glad she brought it!

I never thought I'd be into taking my baby to the Zoo since I didn't really like it as a kid but I have to say it was a lot of fun! My sister has a season pass so she invited me. It was nice to have somewhere different to walk around and Drew seemed to really like it. My friend Sara and baby Ryan came too. It was so nice having some mommy time while the babies were in their strollers and exercise and fresh air!

8 months old!

I feel like Drew goes through surges of learning new things and this week was one of them! The first week of being 8 months old he learned to crawl, started pulling himself up to standing, started cutting those top two teeth (finally) and waved at me! He is also bobbing his head to music. It's so cute when a new song comes on he goes back and forth with his head. I love to watch him learn and grow. When he learns something new he always looks so proud of himself! Now that he is crawling he is getting into a lot more stuff and making me realize I should have baby proofed. He's also been babbling up a storm and it's so adorable. He seems like he has a lot to say sometimes and I love listening to his little mono-logs! I can't get enough of this little guy! This months photo was so fun and there were so many pics to choose from because he was having a blast in the chair this month. It is getting more and more dangerous though because he is so wiggly and wild these days. I didn't really think it though when I started this project. I think next time I will have to have someone there as a spotter!

Winter break

Here's Drew with his friends Lilly and Charlie! These are our friends kids. They are great and this was the longest trip we have taken with the baby. They live in Las Vegas. Drew did pretty good in the car but we were pooped when we got home.

This is Drew's great Grandma Nelson. She's so nice and it was so fun spending the afternoon at her house.

This is Drew with Jared's Aunt Terry. She's the best aunt and already an amazing great aunt. We just love her.

These are Jared's best friend Brian's boys. Brian and Jared used to be roommates.

I love that Jared has a job that get's winter break, spring break and summer break. I feel like we get to be kids again looking forward to the breaks! We visited family and friends during the two week break and it was fun but it's a lot more tiring traveling with a baby.

New Years Eve and my birthday!

New years eve was so fun this year. My mother and father in-law and my mom and sister came over to celebrate with us! It was past the babies bedtime so he missed out on the fun. My mother in-law brought a delicious dinner and dessert and and party favors! We had a blast! We plated Mexican trains and did sparklers at midnight. It's so fun having a birthday on new years because you always get to wear a sparklie crown and never have to go to work! It's the best!

We went to the beach on my birthday. It was nice to get out of the house and it was warm when we first got there but as soon as the clouds covered the sun it got cold so we didn't stay long.

Christmas!

These pictures are from the Christmas party we had at our house. I thought it would be fun to do a photo booth. I like how it came out so it might end up being a new tradition!
